It brings about fundamental changes: - Abolition of official secrecy - Introduction of a fundamental right to freedom of information - Proactive publication obligations for administrative bodies Another new feature is that more than 5,000 public undertakings subject to the control of the Court of Auditors are required to disclose information. In addition, all information seekers now have in principle the right of access to the original information, subject to certain exceptions. Already at the end of May, a Commentary on the Freedom of Information Act (IFG) was published, written by Priv.-Doz. DDr. Christian F. Schneider , partner at bpv Huegel . This landmark deal, valued at over EUR 100 million, involves the property at Parkring 12a and the hotel operations. The hotel, which has been a staple of Vienna’s hospitality scene since its opening in 1985, will continue to be operated under a long-term agreement with Marriott International. The bpv Huegel team was led by Christoph Nauer (Corporate/M&A), Dominik Geyer (Real Estate), and Roland Juill (Corporate/M&A), and also included Nicolas Wolski (Tax Law), Paul Pfeifenberger (Real Estate, Labor Law), Patrick Nutz-Fallheier (Corporate/M&A), Tim Pasternak (Corporate/M&A) and Gerhard Fussenegger (Antitrust Law).
